Bobbie Jean Adams Speir
Juliette . . . Bobbie Jean Adams Speir passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 18, 2014, at Clarkesville Memorial Cemetery, Clarkesville, Georgia. Reverend Stanley Harrell will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.,
Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
Ms. Speir, the daughter of the late Guy Frank Adams and Kitty Lou Kimsey Sisco, was born September 29, 1934, in Clarkesville, Georgia. Her granddaughter, Melissa Hatton preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Tallulah Falls School, a graduate of Tift College and received her Master’s Degree from Mercer University. Ms. Speir spent her adult life teaching and living in Middle Georgia. She retired from Peach County Board of Education as an elementary teacher. Ms. Speir was a member of Juliette United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Frank (Wanda) Speir of Juliette; half-sisters, Sarah Adams of South Carolina and Sue Jenkins of Rock Hill, South Carolina; granddaughter, Christy Bennett; and three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Juliette United Methodist Church, Post Office Box 31, Juliette, GA 31046.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
