William Jeffrey Hargis Forsyth . . . William Jeffrey Hargis passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 16, 2014, at Paran Baptist Church. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Sherwood Memorial Gardens, 6841 Tara Blvd., Jonesboro, GA 30236. Reverend Earwood Baker will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mr. Hargis was born February 14, 1952, in Atlanta, Georgia. His father, Robert Warren Hargis preceded him in death. He was a retired truck driver. Survivors include his wife, A. Jeanette Hargis of Forsyth, children, Jeff Hargis of Rome, Melanie (William) Melton of Jonesboro, Robert Hargis of Rome and Rose (Chaunce) Fulton of Forsyth, mother, Betty Jean Hargis of Jackson, sisters, Sara (Rex) Dickie of Jackson and Phyllis Hernandez of Smyrna, brother, Rob (Cindy) Hargis of Louisville, Tennessee and four grandchildren. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
