David Andrew “Andy” Truan
Forsyth . . . David Andrew “Andy” Truan, 68, went to be with his Lord on April 25, 2014. Andy was born on July 14, 1945 to the late Joseph David Truan, Jr. and Alice Giffin Truan.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark David Truan. Survivors include his wife, Veronica “Roni” Truan, daughter, Becca (Brent) Guyton of Charlotte, North Carolina, stepchildren, Keith (Glenda) Johnson of Macon and Jill Leverett of Warner Robins, sister, Beth (Steve) Womble of Brevard, North Carolina. Three grandchildren, Caleb Williams, Abigail and Isabella Johnson, nieces, Shannon W. Powell and Amanda W. Greer, four great nieces and nephews.
Andy was a member of Mt. Zion UMC in Smarr, GA, where he was active in the choir and Relay for Life, a member of the Forsyth Exchange Club, and a driver for Road to Recovery in Forsyth, Ga. He was owner of Truan Sales and Pond Dam Piping in Macon, GA.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Mt. Zion UMC. Reverend Liza Marler will officiate. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Building Fund, Post Office Box 261, Smarr, GA 31086 or to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210.
The family would like to express their appreciation to all who cared for Andy and especially Dr. Brad Bedgood.
