Mary Alice Bullard
Macon . . . Mary Alice Bullard, 87, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 13, 2014. Mary Alice was born on November 16, 1926 in St. Cloud, Florida and later moved to Macon, Georgia in the 1940s. Mary Alice attended the private Methodist College, Sue Bennett, in London, KY and was married to the late Brigadier General Dan Bullard, III. She was employed at the Macon Telegraph as a writer, as well as working at Robins Air Force Base as a civilian, then with the Macon Police Department. She was an avid gardener and artist. For many years, she gifted her family with her writing pieces and paintings.
Mary Alice was preceded in death by her daughter Diane Cecilia Bullard. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Katherine (Sam) Bullard Stanford of Gainesville and Suzanne Elizabeth Bullard Markert of Bolingbroke; son, Dan (Lisa) Bullard IV of Macon; eight grandchildren, Katherine Hillary Stanford, Neil Patrick Stanford, Alexandra Jewett Markert and Meridith Maudlyn Markert, Mary Grace Bullard, Anna Daly Bullard, Cecilia Katherine Bullard, Danielle Elizabeth Bullard.
The family will meet with friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. The burial will be a private ceremony on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at 3:00 p.m., at Riverside Cemetery, North Gate. Reverend Tim Steffen will officiate.
