Luther “Buddy” Hales
Dry Branch . . . Luther Edward “Buddy” Hales passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Wheeler Heights Baptist Church. Reverend Franklin Etheridge will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Hales, the son of the late Leonard Luther Hales and Laura Irma Peterman Hales was born September 12, 1930, in Macon, Georgia. He was a retired construction superintendent and a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Hales of Dry Branch, children, Deborah Tidwell of Dry Branch, Sandra (Sherman) Beasley of Americus, Bobbie Arnold of Macon and Tammy (Gregg) Butts of Gray, sisters, Ruth (Gene) Rooks of Macon and Irman Jean Kendrick of Lake Sinclair, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Wheeler Height Baptist Church, Parking Lot Fund, 4318 Riggins Mill Road, Macon, GA 31217 or to Serenity Hospice, 1057 North Houston Road, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
