Franklin Bruce Clark, III
Forsyth . . . Franklin Bruce Clark, III of Forsyth, Georgia, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Dayspring Presbyterian Church with burial in Monroe Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Dean Eric Conkel will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
Bruce was born February 11, 1956 in Patuxent River, Maryland to the Reverend Franklin B. Clark, Jr. and Evelyn Boyd Clark. He grew up in Georgia, graduating from Central High School in Macon and receiving a Bachelor degree in Science from Georgia College and another Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He worked for International Paper Company in various management positions in Georgetown, South Carolina; Mobile, Alabama; Camden, Arkansas and Monroe, Louisiana. In 2001, he returned to Macon to work for Graphic Packaging.
Bruce enjoyed being active in his church, Dayspring Presbyterian Church of Forsyth, where he served as deacon and a Sunday School teacher. He also was an avid musician as the principal drummer at Central High School and the percussionist for the jazz ensembles while attending Georgia College and Georgia Institute of Technology. He used his talents to play with the Jazz Association of Macon and many other venues.
Bruce is survived by his wife of twenty nine years and love of his life, Vicki Noteware Clark and four children, Franklin B. Clark, IV, Sidney N. Clark, Molly K. Clark, Ansley A. Clark; daughter in law, Caitlyn D. Clark; parents Reverend Franklin B. Clark, Jr. and Evelyn B. Clark; brothers, John G. Clark and Dr. Edward K. Clark. He was preceded in death by his brother Alston B. Clark.
