Rufus Franklin Rogers, Jr.
Forsyth . . . Rufus Franklin Rogers, Jr. passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 23, 2014, at Forsyth City Cemetery. Mark Goolsby will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Rogers, the son of the late Rufus Franklin Rogers, Sr. and Mary Lucille Jackson Rogers, was born May 5, 1925, in Forsyth, Georgia. His daughter, Brenda Joyce Rogers, preceded him in death. He was retired from Georgia Power Company and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Gladys Stuart Rogers of Forsyth, children, Steve (Janice) Rogers of Forsyth, Michael (Gloria) Rogers of Forsyth and Marcia (Bert) Ballard of Conyers, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
