Jimmy Lee Mitchell Jimmy Lee Mitchell passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014. The family will greet visitors from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday, January 11, 2014, followed by the funeral at 2:00pm at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Monroe Memorial Gardens. Reverend Eric Byrd will officiate. Mr. Mitchell, the son of the late John Will Mitchell, Sr. and Florine Parker Mitchell was born June 29, 1937 in Forsyth, GA. He is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Hazel Mason Mitchell, and his brothers, J.W. Mitchell and Howard Mitchell of Forsyth. Mr. Mitchell was a retired mechanic for the City of Forsyth. Survivors include his children, Brenda (Michael) Barnett of Olympia, WA, Carl (Lavon) Mitchell of Puyallup, WA, and Sherrie (Jeffrey) Costa of Smyrna, GA, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family requests no flowers but suggests donations to donor's favorite charity. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
