Myletia Lyn Floyd Sanderson
Forsyth . . . . . Myletia Lyn Floyd Sanderson passed away Friday, December 27, 2013. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Forsyth United Methodist Church. Reverend Ken Stephens will officiate. The family will greet friends at 10:00 a.m., the day of the service until service time, at the church.
Lyn, the daughter of the late Robert Dale Floyd and Jevene Sanders Floyd was born February 10, 1957, in Hawkinsville, Georgia. She was a 1975 graduate of Jonesco Academy where she lettered in basketball, winning the Girls State Basketball Championship in 1975. She was also voted Miss Jonesco in 1975. Lyn received her Associate Degree in nursing in June, 1982 and was employed with the Coliseum Hospital, where she was an operating room nurse, for more than thirty years. She was an avid runner; her true passion was the Food Pantry Ministry at Forsyth United Methodist Church where she was a member.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Sanderson of Forsyth, daughter, Lynsey Sanderson of Forsyth, sisters, Sheila and Clay Wood of Macon and Jamie Floyd of Macon.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Forsyth United Methodist Food Pantry Ministries, 68 West Johnston Street, Forsyth, Georgia 31029.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
