Peggy Smith Cunningham Forsyth . . . Peggy Smith Cunningham went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Maynard Baptist Church with burial in Macon Memorial Park. Dr. Marvin Lee and Reverend Jay Moore will officiate. The family will greet friends the day of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Peggy, the daughter of the late A. Frank Green and Ouida Green Farr was born January 12, 1932, in Macon, Georgia, having lived most of her life in Monroe County. Her husband, J. Troy Smith, her son, Terry M. Smith and her brother Charles A. (Buddy) Green preceded her in death. Peggy was a homemaker after serving many years in retail sales. She was a faithful member of Maynard Baptist Church and was a caring and loving Christian who set an example for her friends and family. Survivors include her husband, Glenn Cunningham of Forsyth, sons, Jimmy T. (Karen) Smith and Darrell L. Smith, of Forsyth, step children, Bud (Latralle) Cunningham of Forsyth, Barbara (Steve) Miller of West Virginia and Linda (Mike) Firebaugh of Kentucky, grandchildren, Donna (Scott) Lucas of Ft. Valley, Liz (Chris) Sanders of Brunswick, Darrell Blake (Janie) Smith of Forsyth and Kasey (Matt) Howe of Miami, sisters, Ruth G. (Joe) Brown of Macon, and Nita G. (Jerry) White of North Carolina, sister in law, Carolyn Green of Forsyth, brothers, Frank (Delores) Green of Juliette and Jackie (Wanda) Green of Newnan, nine great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Maynard Baptist Church, PO Box 576, Forsyth, GA 31029. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
