VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTEBenjamin Olin Williams Barnesville . . . Benjamin Olin Williams passed away Friday, October 18, 2013, due to complications from multiple sclerosis. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2013, at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Reverend Frank Davis and Reverend Scott Harrell will officiate. The family will greet friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Williams, the son of the late, David Cullen Williams and Cavie Agnes Ivey Williams, was born February 12, 1941, in Forsyth, Georgia. His wife, Phila Christley Williams, preceded him in death. He was retired from Hanson Rock Quarry and was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Williams raised beef cattle and always enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter, Mindy (David) Strickland of Barnesville, sister, Loretta (Buddy) Fore of Rex, brother, James (Sunny) Williams of Lake Wales, Florida, grandchildren, Taylor Hill and Morgan Strickland, nephews, Todd (Patty) Williams of Babson Park, Florida, Craig (Maite) Williams of Cary, North Carolina, several more nephews, a niece and special friend, Doody Shaw of Forsyth.The family would like to say a special thank you to his caregivers, Betty Ann Evans and Shirley Head.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Rocky Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 225 Rocky Creek Road, Forsyth, GA 31029.
