John Thomas Darden Barnesville . . . John Thomas Darden passed away Friday, October 11, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, 950 Floyd Road, Forsyth, GA 31029. The Reverend Franklin Etheridge will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mr. Darden, the son of the late John Jacob Darden and Zodie Mae Tingle Darden, was born June 3, 1913, in Monroe County, Georgia. His children, John Jay Darden and Ruth Diane Darden Bajer preceded him in death. He was a retired contractor. Survivors include his children, Tommie Jean Myers of Wood River, Illinois, David Douglas Darden of Cleveland, Tennessee, Donald Darden Cain of North Carolina, Lawrence Ray Darden of Jackson, Melba Ann Darden of Barnesville, Lou Ann Belote of Texas, Leslie Bradford of Forsyth, Brenda Williams of Barnesville and Ronald Anthony Darden of Missouri, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
