John Earnest Sanders Monroe County . . . John Earnest Sanders passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at New Haven Baptist Church, 893 New Haven Church Road, Gordon, GA. Pastor Gabby Loyd will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the funeral, at the church. Mr. Sanders, the son of the late Oliver Curtis Sanders and Mary Ellen Williamson Sanders was born September 16, 1946, in Forsyth, Georgia. His brother, Joseph Curtis Sanders and his cousin, Jimmy Paul Sanders preceded him in death. He was a retired carpenter. Survivors include his daughter, Christy Sanders-Graves of Huffman, Texas, step-daughters, Paula Cook of Kathleen and Cindy Santacattering of Warner Robins, brothers, Tickey Sanders and James Sanders of Monroe County, sisters, Edna McInvale of Cordele, Martha Perry and Janice Griffin of Macon, two grandchildren, Justin Hootman and Madison Graves. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
