Anita Carrick Forsyth . . . Jacqueline Anita Carrick passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 26, 2013, at New Beginning Pentecostal Church with burial to follow at 1:00 p.m., at Sherwood Memorial Park, 6841 Tara Blvd., Jonesboro, Georgia 30236. Reverend Steve Reeves and Bob Carrick will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Anita, the daughter of the late Edward Jack Carter and Evie Beatrice Cook Carter, was born April 16, 1956, in Atlanta, Georgia. Her son, Eddie Mitchell, her brothers, Jimmy Petty and Bobby Petty and her sisters, Joyce Duck and Barbara Barnett, preceded her in death. She retired from Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, as a 911 supervisor. Survivors include her husband, Bob Carrick of Forsyth, daughter, Jaelyn Blair Carrick of Forsyth, son, Robert Brandon Bloodworth of Forsyth, grandchildren, Seth Mitchell of Forsyth, Derek Petty and Daniel Petty of Statesboro, sisters, Deborah (Bruce) Pittard of Springfield, Tennessee and Becky (Chris) Carter of High Falls, brothers, Arthur (Shirley) Petty, Sr. of Douglasville, Carl Ray (Susan) Petty of Newnan, Danny (Jean) Petty of Gay, Eddie Carter of Forsyth, Tim (Meg) Carter of Culloden and Jesse (Melissa) Carter of Sharpsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice Care Options, 486 New Street, Macon, GA 31201. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
