Marcia Barnes Wise

Marcia Barnes Wise Macon . . . . . Marcia Barnes Wise, 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday Sept 7, 2013 following an extended illness. Marcia was born Aug 22, 1947 in Thomaston, Georgia, but lived in Macon for most of her life. She was retired from BellSouth Communications. Marcia loved her animals, and spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan, and always enjoyed attending games. The family cannot express enough gratitude for the wonderful care she received at Bolingreen Health and Rehabilitation. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul W. Barnes, Sr., and her mother, Martha "Nama Paul" Snow Barnes. Her family will cherish many fun memories of her. She is survived by her children; Charles Wayne Wise, Jr. of Athens; Chris (Claudia) Wise, of Macon; and Wendy (Troy) Smith of Milledgeville; their father Charles Wayne Wise, Sr.; her brother Paul Wesley "Butch" Barnes, Jr. (Kathy) of Statesboro; her sister Carol Barnes and her (fiancé Dale Whitley) of Hawkinsville; her niece Anna (Les) Kicklighter and nephew Paul Barnes III and six grandchildren; Christopher, Samantha, Braxton, Tyler, Gavin, and Hayden. Her family will receive visitors Tuesday Sept 10, 2013, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., at Monroe County Memorial Chapel, 86 West Main Street, Forsyth, Georgia 31029. In respect of Marcia's wishes, we are asking our family and friends to join us for fellowship and celebration of Marcia's life, immediately following visitation, at Twang Restaurant (the Old Shamrock) in Payne City, Macon, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider making a donation to the charity of your choice in Marcia's honor. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
