Gerald Hinton Duncan Lizella . . . Gerald Hinton Duncan died Sunday, August 18, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 5455 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon, Georgia 31216, with burial at 3:00 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ashburn, Georgia. The Reverend Franklin Etheridge will officiate. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mr. Duncan, the son of the late Lucius Hinton Duncan and Edna Allene Jones Duncan was born September 2, 1927, in Rochelle, Georgia. He retired from the United States Navy after twenty two years of service. Mr. Duncan was previously employed with J. H. Churchwell Company as a sales representative and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Martha Duncan of Lizella, children, Katherine Klough, Sue Young of Columbia, South Carolina, Romaine Holly, Brenda Holly of Ashburn, Debra Collins of Edenton, North Carolina and Jerry Currier of Roberta, siblings, Margaret Moore of Tampa, Florida, Harris Duncan of Hattiesburg, Mississippi and Faye Dickson of Friendswood, Texas, sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
