Gloria Ann Denby Forsyth . . . Gloria Ann Denby died Saturday, July 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Faithwalkers Church Ministry, 353 Freeman Road, Forsyth, Georgia, with burial in the church cemetery. The Reverend Eric Byrd will officiate. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Denby, the daughter of the late Perry Jessie Slaughter and Ruth Nicholson Slaughter, was born January 8, 1955, in Thomaston, Georgia. Her son, Jessie Van Denby and her sister, Linda Bunn preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Chester Denby, children, Mary Ruth Daniel, Emory Denby, Jr., Alicia Ann O’Steen all of Forsyth and William Joseph Denby of Jackson, brother, William Slaughter of Forsyth, sisters, Mary Smith of High Falls, Elsie Watkins, Betty Whitman, Annette Clark all of Forsyth and Martha Rabon of The Rock, seventeen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
