Dr. Senen J. Encinas

Dr. Senen J. Encinas FORSYTH, GA . . . . . . Dr. Senen J. Encinas, 87, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013. The celebration of his life will be held at 3pm Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel, Forsyth GA. The Rev. Ricky Niblett will officiate. The family will meet friends following the service at the chapel. Those who wish may make donations to Homestead Hospice, 791A Hwy 36 East, Jackson GA 30233 in lieu of plants and flowers. Dr. Encinas was born in the Philippines July 30, 1925; he never forgot his Filipino heritage. He received his Medical degree in Sto. Tomas University in Manila and was in private practice there for a short time. He then decided to pursue his studies in the US arriving in Springfield, Mass in Oct. of 1956. He served his residencies mostly in Massachusetts, specializing in Family Medicine. He was most proud to receive his American Citizenship in June 1964. He then took the Medical Boards Exam and started his own practice in Jan. 1967 in English, Indiana. Dr. Encinas was a Family Physician for 20 years, retiring to Florida in 1988 where he enjoyed his retirement playing golf daily. The Encinases moved back to Forsyth in 2007 after he suffered a debilitating stroke. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jeanine M. Encinas, his two sons, Jimmy (Caroline) Encinas of Byron and Mike (Jackie) Encinas of Phenix City AL, his grandchildren, Miles Encinas, Hannah Encinas, Marleigh Encinas, and Annsleigh Encinas. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers and one sister. He leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins in the Philippines and in the states. His memory will live on not only for the things he did for all his patients, but because of the joyous laughter that he brought to all who knew him. The jokes and the special way he told them will never be forgotten. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
