John Daniel Richardson Forsyth . . . John Daniel Richardson died Monday, May 27, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Forsyth City Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mr. Richardson, the son of the late John Maxwell and Ethel Walling Richardson was born September 30, 1927, in Brooklyn, New York. His daughter, Bonnie R. Gardiner, preceded him in death. He was retired from Bert Maxwell Furniture Company, was a veteran of the United States Merchant Marines and the United States Army, serving during World War II. Mr. Richardson was a long time member of Tattnall Square Baptist Church, serving as Chairman and Deacon. Survivors include his wife, Martha Richardson of Forsyth, daughter, Sylvia Stapleton of Bolingbroke, four grandsons, Michael (Gloria) Gardiner of Macon, Bill (Jill) Stapleton of Forsyth, Jason (Laura) Gardiner of Macon and Max Stapleton of Atlanta. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
