Addie Opal Ellington Alexander Forsyth . . . Addie Opal Ellington Alexander died Thursday, May 2, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 6, 2013, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with burial in College Park Cemetery, 3600 Adams Street, College Park, Georgia 30337. Reverend Ken Stephens will officiate. The family will greet friends at 9:30 a.m., Monday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Alexander, the daughter of the late Josiah Ellington and Minnie Camp Ellington was born November 21, 1915, in Fayetteville, Georgia. Her husband, Dewey Lonzo Alexander, Sr. preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Georgia. Survivors include her children, Dewey Lonzo Alexander, Jr. of Gainesville, Georgia and Nancy (Norris) McLaughlin of Forsyth, brothers, Grady Ellington of Gay, Georgia and Melvin Ellington of Brooks, Georgia, one grandchild and three great grandchildren. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
