Kara David Laney Forsyth . . . Kara David Laney died Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Services and burial will be announced at a later date. Mr. Laney, the son of the late Charles Earl Laney and Florence Crenshaw Laney was born March 29, 1934, in Lafayette, Alabama. He retired from the United States Army, having served during Vietnam and also retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections, as a correctional officer. Survivors include his wife, Ingrid Laney of Forsyth, daughter, Barbara Laney Runyon of Warm Springs, sister, Earleen Lozano of Fayetteville, two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
