Chief Emeritus Warring Russell Doles, Sr.
Forsyth . . . Chief Emeritus Warring Russell Doles, Sr., died Saturday, January 26, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Forsyth City Cemetery. Dr. H. Darrell Watson and Chaplain Paul Pannell will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2013, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Doles, the son of the late John Walter Doles and Evelyn Louise Duke Doles was born December 7, 1938, in Macon, Georgia. His son, Warring Russell Doles, Jr., his sister, Melandy Thompson and his brother, Walter Doles preceded him in death. He retired from Monroe County Fire Department as Chief Emeritus and was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Survivors include his children, Ruth Ann (Arthur) Bonilla Ramirez), Antonio Vasquez, Richard Dean Clements and Amanda (Tommy) Smallwood all of Forsyth, sisters, Sharon Ann (William) Brown of Macon, Elaine Winn (Ray Benge) of Macon, Kay (Billy) Blalock of Byron, brothers, Neal (Teresa) Doles of Jones County and Peanut Doles of Macon, grandson, Jon-Warring Smallwood and caretaker, Gina Authement.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Georgia Burn Foundation, 2575 Chantilly Drive, Atlanta, GA 30324.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
