Jerrill Richard Bankston Barnesville . . . Jerrill Richard Bankston died Saturday, January 12,2013. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Barnesville with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. The Reverend Garth Forster and The Reverend Franklin Gibson will officiate. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Mr. Bankston, the son of the late Arthur and Bessie Waller Bankston was born April 8, 1928, in Barnesville, Georgia. He was retired from William Carter Company, was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II and was a member of Mid Way Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Clark Bankston of Barnesville, children, Dot Nelms of Barnesville, Terry (Rachel) Bankston of Covington and Randy Bankston of Jacksonville, Florida, sister, Doris B. Allen of Thomaston, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
