Teddy Joe “Ted” Turnbow, Sr. Forsyth . . . Teddy Joe “Ted” Turnbow, Sr. died Sunday, December 30, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Second Baptist Church with burial in Monroe Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Danny Parker and The Reverend Franklin Etheridge will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Ted, the son of the late H. B. Turnbow, Jr. and Katherine Bell Turnbow, was born January 7, 1945, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was retired from Georgia Power Company and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Ted worked part time for Monroe County Memorial Chapel as a funeral assistant. He was a member and Deacon of Second Baptist Church and was a member of Forsyth Exchange Club. Survivors include his wife, Vicky Turnbow, children, Johnny (Jenny) Turnbow, Joey (Nina) Turnbow, brother, Wayne Turnbow all of Forsyth and seven grandchildren. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
