"Miss Eva," as she was affectionately known by many friends, was born in Monroe County, Georgia on September 28, 1918. Following her marriage to John Johnston in 1939, she moved to East Point, Georgia where she lived for many years prior to her return to Monroe County.
After coming to know the Lord, prayer became an important part of Eva's life. It was through her that the Prayer Fellowship for the Fellowship of Christian Airline Personnel International began in the early 70's. She remained faithfully committed to that ministry until the time of her death. Through her involvement in FCAP and the prayer ministry, “Miss Eva” encouraged and blessed countless lives and developed many special friendships with people from all over the world.
Survivors include her sons, Jan Harold (Peggy) Johnston of Villa Rica and Keevil Lloyd Johnston of Stockbridge, four grandchildren, six great¬ grandchildren, sister, Lucille Cole of Forsyth, many nieces and many nephews. She will be greatly missed by this family as well as her FCAP family throughout the world.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Fellowship of Christian Airline Personnel International, 136 Providence Road, Fayetteville, GA 30215. Phone Number: 770 461 9230.
