VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTERita Bankston Forsyth . . . Rita Bankston died Saturday, October 20, 2012. Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Burial will be private. The Reverend Franklin Etheridge will officiate. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Bankston, the daughter of the late Douglas McLean Reichert and Lillie Belle Destin Reichert, was born August 23, 1945, in Columbus, Georgia. She was a 1963 graduate of A. L. Miller High School. She attended GAB business school and Macon Junior College. Mrs. Bankston retired from Stokes and Shaheen as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Bankston was raised in the Masonic Home from the age of five until the age of sixteen. She loved and considered all of the children in the Masonic Home her brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husband, Wayne Bankston of Forsyth, children, Robert Bankston of Forsyth, John Bankston of Forsyth and Brandy Ellen Bankston of Bolingbroke, sisters, Margaret Alice Gicker of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and Gail Crites. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
