Marceline Pendley Bazemore
Forsyth . . . . Marceline Pendley Bazemore died Sunday, October 7, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at First Baptist Church with burial in Monroe Memorial Gardens. Dr. H. Darrell Watson will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 8, 2012, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Bazemore, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Gladys Pendley was born October 19, 1928, in Griffin, Georgia. Her husband, A. M. “Bert” Bazemore preceded her in death. She was retired from William Carter Company and after her retirement she was employed with her husband’s business, E.W. Banks Company. Mrs. Bazemore was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. She was a member of Merry Hearts and was a volunteer for the Monroe County Hospital Pink Lady Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughter, Debbie B. Melton of Forsyth, sister, Doris Moore of Knoxville, Tennessee, grandchildren, Major Marc and Erin Melton of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and Traci and Major Trent Conner of Burke, Virginia, great grandchildren, Brianna Melton, Addison Conner and Alexis Conner.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to First Baptist Church, 95 West Morse Street, Forsyth, GA 31029 or to the America Cancer Society.
