Virginia Griffith Holbrook Jackson . . . Virginia Ruth Griffith Holbrook died Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 7, 2012, at Forsyth First Baptist Church. Dr. H. Darrell Watson will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends following the service at the church. Mrs. Holbrook, the daughter of the late James Arthur Griffith, Sr. and Mamie Smith Griffith was born November 25, 1926, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Her husband, James Franklin Holbrook, Sr. preceded her in death. She was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church, a member of First Baptist Joy Sunday School Class and a member of Merry Hearts. Mrs. Holbrooke was a former WOC president, treasurer and elder of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her children, Vicky (Fred) Grigsby of Jackson and James Franklin Holbrook, Jr. of Cartersville, brother, James Arthur Griffith, Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The family requests in addition to flowers, donations be made to First Baptist Church Youth Choir Music Ministry, 95 West Morse Street, Forsyth, GA 31029 or to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210.
