Alma Smith Jackson Forsyth . . . Alma Smith Jackson died Monday, September 10, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Forsyth City Cemetery. Reverend Danny Parker will officiate. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Monroe County Memorial Chapel Mrs. Jackson, the daughter of the late William Michael and Donie Jane Gregory Smith, was born April 3, 1913, in Forsyth, Georgia. Her husband, Francis Lucas Jackson, preceded her in death. She was retired from William Carter Company and was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Marlyn Pickering of Talmo, sister, Doris Rhodes of Forsyth, grandchildren, Donice Carroll of Talmo and Jason Welch of Commerce, great grandchildren, Cody Denton, Kip Welch, Kyle Welch, Clay Welch, Taylor Archer and Kayla Archer. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
