Edythe R. Marsh Stuart
Round Oak . . . Edythe R. Marsh Stuart, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. The Reverend Franklin Etheridge will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends following the service at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Stuart, the daughter of the late Thomas Benjamin Marsh and Edna Sudie Mason Marsh was born February 23, 1929, in Forsyth, Georgia. Her husbands, Hugh Howard Rooks and Thomas Watson Stuart, her children, Debra Nomay and Hulene Wilkes, her brothers, Tom Marsh, Jack Marsh and Luke Marsh preceded her in death. She was a retired LPN and a member of Volusia County Baptist Church in Orange City, Florida, where she was a very active member.
Survivors include her children, Christopher (Carolyn) Rooks of Juliette, Connie (Larry) Darley of Round Oak, Chip (Mary Ellen) Stuart of Warner Robins, Flip Stuart of Orange City, Florida and J. Skip Stuart of Warner Robins, sisters, Gerry Daniel of Cadwell, Deloris Cochran of Juliette and Martha Sapp of Birmingham, Alabama, brothers, Ed Marsh of Canton and Sonny Marsh of Carrollton, sister in law, Betty Marsh of Winston Salem, North Carolina, sixteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice Care Options, 811 North Cobb Street, Suite 3, Milledgeville, GA 31061 or to donor’s favorite charity.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
