Douglas Roy Bowen Forsyth . . . Douglas Roy Bowen died Saturday, July 7, 2012. Services and burial will be private. Mr. Bowen, the son of the late Roy Milton and Mary Keikel Bowen was born February 21, 1953, in Okinawa, Japan. He was previously employed with the Department of Transportation as a Civil Engineer. Survivors include his wife, Leighanne Harbuck Bowen of Forsyth, children, Blake Douglas Bowen of Forsyth and Rebekah Sullivan of Tennessee, sisters, Diane Cheney of Fort Worth Texas and Dawn Merriman of California. The family requests no flowers but suggests donations to Christ United Methodist Church Building Fund, PO Box 162, Forsyth, GA 31029. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
