Emmett Eugene Smith, Sr. Forsyth . . . Emmett Eugene Smith, Sr. died Tuesday, June 26, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 29, 2012, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Emmett was born July 20, 1970, in Forsyth, Georgia. His father Emmett Smith preceded him in death. He was previously employed with Ford Motor Company. Survivors include his children, Emmett E. Smith, Jr. of Forsyth, Austin C. Smith of Forsyth, stepchildren, Dustan Davidson of North Carolina and Jacob Davidson of Monroe, Georgia, mother, Clara Smith of Forsyth. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Monroe County Memorial Chapel, PO Box 1303, Forsyth, GA 31029, to help with the funeral expenses. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
