Wilton Lewis Macon . . . Wilton Lewis died Saturday, June 9, 2012. Private graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery. The Reverend Tom Anderson will officiate. Mr. Lewis, the son of the late Jewel Van Lewis and Leila Grace Dobson Lewis was born January 24, 1936, in Lyons, Georgia. He was retired from Dry Branch Kaolin. Since his retirement Mr. Lewis has been an avid gardener, has enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family and neighbors. Survivors include his wife, Leila Ard Lewis of Macon, children, Lisa (Dan IV) Bullard of Macon and Teresa (Terry) Hartley of Macon, brother, James Earl (Tracy) Lewis of Vidalia, six grandchildren, Jeremy Hartley, Heather Hartley, Mary Grace Bullard, Anna Daly Bullard, Cecilia Bullard and Danielle Bullard, one great grandchild, Devon Lee Williams. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Save A Pet, PO Box 933, Forsyth, GA 31029, or to The Children’s Hospital, c/o Medcen Community Health Foundation,858 High Street, Macon, GA 31201. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
