Sidney Eugene Harper Forsyth . . . Sidney Eugene Harper died Sunday, April 8, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Garden Hill Baptist Church with burial in Monroe Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Mike McMullan will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6 until 8 p.m, Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mr. Harper, the son of the late Tom and Minnie Favors Harper was born February 14, 1935, in Juliette, Georgia. He was retired from Cagle’s and was a member of Garden Hill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Survivors include his wife, Mae Banks Harper of Forsyth, children, Dottie (Bobby) Kirby of Perry, Larry Turner of Forsyth, Ann Guest of Forsyth and Allen (Cheryl) Harper of Shelbyville, Kentucky, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Garden Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, 88 Vining Street, Forsyth, GA 31029. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
