Golden David Smith Forsyth. . . Golden David Smith died Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with burial to follow in Good Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Lamar County. Reverend Michael Causey and Reverend Gregory Palmer will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mr. Smith, the son of the late Oscar Bennett Smith and Edna Smallwood Smith was born October 28, 1930, in Gainesville, Georgia. His wife, Alma Irene (Patsy) Smith, preceded him in death. He was retired from A & M Auto and was a Mason. Survivors include his children, Sharon (Joel) Palmer of Forsyth and Randy Smith of Montgomery, Alabama, sister, Stella Williams of Lamar County, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
