Thelma Ilene Dempsey Forsyth . . . Thelma Ilene Dempsey died Monday, February 27, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at Holly Hill Memorial Park, 359 West Broad Street, Hwy 29, Fairburn, Georgia 30213. The family will greet friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Dempsey, the daughter of the late Joe Cephas Pittman and Mammie Elizabeth Peppers Pittman, was born September 27, 1923, in Atlanta, Georgia. Her husband, Forrest Glenn Dempsey preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her children, Kate Thomas of Forsyth, Phyllis Matthews of Forsyth and Phillip Dempsey of Woodstock, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
