Thomas Littleton Mays, Jr. Forsyth . . . Thomas Littleton Mays, Jr. died Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Forsyth City Cemetery. Dr. Dan Whitaker will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2012 at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mr. Mays, the son of the late Thomas Littleton Mays, Sr. and Nell Opal Gilmore Mays, was born October 13, 1920, in Macon, Georgia. He was retired co-owner and operator of S&M Auto Service. Mr. Mays was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church for many years and a member of Heart of Georgia Covair Club. His hobby was restoring corvairs. Survivors include his wife of seventy years, Nancy Mays of Forsyth, daughter, Pamela (Steve) Terry of Forsyth, brother, Clayton Mays of Warner Robins, sisters, May (Steve) Nelson of Gray and Polly Adam of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, grandchild, Valyne K. Terry of Forsyth. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Meals on Wheels, 95 West Morse Street, Forsyth, GA 31029 or to donor’s favorite charity. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
