Forsyth . . . Harold Williams, Jr. died Sunday, October 16,
2011. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday,
October 18, 2011, at Juliette United Methodist Church with
burial in the church cemetery. The Reverend Ken
Stephens, The Reverend Stanley Harrell and The Reverend
Tom Drake will officiate. The family will greet friends
from 6 until 8 p.m., Monday, October 17, 2011, at Monroe
County Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Williams, the son of the late Harold Williams, Sr. and
Winifred Ross Williams was born December 11, 1923, in
Juliette, Georgia. His wife, Mable Purser Williams, his
sister, Ann Proctor and his grandchildren, Brandy and
Jamie Andrews preceded him in death. He retired from the
United States Post Office as a rural mail carrier. Mr.
Williams was a member of Juliette United Methodist
Church.
Survivors include his children, Mary Anne Andrews
(Charlie D) of Macon, Jerrine Smith of Centerville, Pam
Saunders (Jimmy) of Jackson, Janet Phillips (Lonnie) of
Forsyth and Cathy Dunn (Chip) of Forsyth, grandchildren,
Joy Smith, April Smith, Amy Holder, Steve Mercer, Lynne
Andrews, Kim Jackson, Kim Phillips, Lonnie Phillips, Jr.,
Melissa Herndon, Caleb Dunn and Lindsey Dunn, and
eleven great grandchildren.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Chip and
Cathy Dunn, 164 Conifer Drive, Forsyth, Georgia.
Flowers will be accepted or the family suggests donations
to Juliette United Methodist Church, 69 McCrackin Street,
Juliette, GA 31046.
Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of
arrangements.
