Macon . . . Corrie Johnston Winget died Thursday, December 29, 2011. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Matthew Bishop will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2011, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Winget, the daughter of the late Chandler McGuirk Johnston and Martha Ruth Cherry Johnston, was born July 29, 1922, in Forsyth, Georgia. Her husband, William Ross Winget preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her children, Michael (Lisa) Winget of Monroe County, Harry (Susan) Casler of Monroe County, Billy (Sandra) Winget of Macon, Bobbie (William) Owens of Juliette, and Sharon (Tommy) Eldridge of North Carolina, fourteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to American Cancer Society, Monroe County Unit, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
